Spiritual AftercareChris DiStefano

Practices

Simple, physical, repeatable. Nothing you have to believe. Everything you can do with a body that just went through something.

Ground

Feet, weight, walking, food with salt and protein. The fastest way out of the float is down, not up.

Contain

Warmth, a closed room, a short ritual that says: this is mine, that is not. Aftercare is a boundary, not a mood.

Rest

Sleep, water, less input. The field keeps working after the session ends. Do not fill the space with more ceremony.

A session looks like

1
What just happened. You name the work you came from — body session, clearing, birth, grief, plant medicine, a fight that split something open. No performance required.
2
Where it lives now. We track the body: sleep, gut, jaw, pelvis, the sense of being too large for the room. Same whole-chain eye as the other practice.
3
What you take home. Two or three concrete acts for the next 48 hours. Not a lifestyle. A landing strip.
